Zaza Khabuliani

Image:

Zaza Khabuliani was born in the tiny village of Ozurgeti, just inside the border of the Republic of Georgia. As a young man he and his brother Emzar, left their home to pursue their dreams of becoming professional artists. Zaza’s journey was fueled by his Slavic enthusiasm and optimism, as the brothers made their way to the big city lights and the famous art academy of Tbilisi. In Tbilisi, Zaza had the opportunity to not only study, but thanks to his tremendous talent he was able to teach several courses as well. After leaving Tbilisi with a Master’s Degree he headed to Moscow, where he exhibited at the renowned Park Kultri Gallery and many other local galleries. His work generated compliments from the public as well as the critics, and consequently Zaza decided to try his luck in other parts of the world. The very same sensitivity that radiates from their paintings made the brothers chose Cyprus, and wisely so, as the starting point on their way to conquer the hearts of art lovers all over the world.

After spending many years studying in New York and finding representation with Boulevard Fine Art, Zaza now lives in Russia and continues to produce exceptional works of art by exploring new subject matter while maintaining his unique style.
